With new job responsibilities, I took my foot off the gas a bit in 2021. Still, I somehow managed to have more stories published this year than 2020. I partially attribute this to the long lead time for some publications to make decisions, but I also hope it reflects a bit more attention to my craft. I'm really pleased with the stories published this year and the markets.
The following are all short stories, and I believe should be eligible for consideration for Hugo, Nebula, Shirley Jackson, World Fantasy, and Stoker awards as appropriate.
The Root of the Problem - published in Sci-Fi Lampoon Magazine, Winter 2021 (flash sci-fi)
Two By Two - published in Wyldblood Magazine, Issue 4 2021 (short sci-fi)
A Perfect Cemetery - published in Sanitorium Magazine, Issue 4 2021 (flash horror)
A Voice in the Winter - published in Flash Point Science Fiction, November 2021 (flash fantasy)
Welcome to HomeDrone - published in the Alternative War anthology by B Cubed Press, November 2021 (flash sci-fi)
We'll Drink a Cup of Kindness Yet - to be published in the It's Always Raining in Noir City anthology by Crimeucopia, December 2021 (short crime noir)
Thanks for reading!
